SAMMY KERSHAW WORKS TO PROTECT LOUISIANA COASTLINE

Sammy Kershaw is the official spokesperson for ProtectOurCoastline.org, an organization that was launched to aid those along the Louisiana coast affected by the oil spill disaster. Protectourcoastline.org will provide direct relief for those facing financial devastation because of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and help save Louisiana's Wetlands. Money raised by protectourcoastline.org will benefit the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation, in partnership with the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, and the America's WETLAND Foundation, which heads the "Campaign to Save Coastal Louisiana" project.
Louisiana provides 33% of the country's seafood, making the industry a key component of the state's economy.
Sammy said, "Having grown up in the coastal parish of Vermilion, I understand the importance of both the seafood industry and the wetlands to Louisiana. The people of my state are resilient and protectourcoastline.org is determined to help those affected by this disaster come back stronger than ever."
Sammy recently announced his candidacy for Lt. Governor of Louisiana. The Republican will run under what he calls the "Real People Campaign."
Sammy currently lives in Lafayette, Louisiana.
