Jake Owen has a new single and video out called "Tell Me." He wrote the song about his on-again, off-again romance with his longtime girlfriend, but this is not the way the video plays out. Jake tells us he was pleasantly surprised at the direction the video took at the hands of director Mason Dixon (yes, that's really his name!). "I told him when I made the video, I said, 'I gotta tell you, man, I wrote this song about a relationship that I'm in, have been in, but when I wrote it, nothing that your video portrays is anything what I thought the song was like,' until I read his script and realized that it doesn't matter what a song is about that you write, it's about how people interpret it, and the way he interpreted it was something that needed to be said and done, and so we did it and it takes this song to a totally different world."

Jake says the clip, which has been called a mini-movie, is like an episode of Lost. It explores dual worlds, with Jake playing both a good and bad guy.

"Tell Me" is currently climbing the country charts.

The song is featured on Jake's current Easy Does It CD, which was released last year.
