RASCAL FLATTS STILL MARCHING 'TO APPOMATTOX'

Rascal Flatts say things are still a go for a mini series called To Appomattox. The guys mentioned they would be starring in the show last summer, but production still has not gotten underway. Jay DeMarcus says that organizers are in the process of meeting with such potential producing partners as Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard, but the series is slated to start filming in late summer or early fall of this year.
Jay tells us that he, Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney will have quite a hand in To Appomattox. "We're gonna produce the soundtrack and be involved in the making of the mini series as well. I think we're in five episodes out of the eight episodes. We're gonna play different civil war characters, so . . . (Joe Don) And we gotta change our hair. (Jay) Dwight Yoakam is signed on to be on the soundtrack. I know Trace Adkins is signed on to be on the soundtrack . . . A lot of exciting people. (Joe Don) Kix is gonna be on it, too. (Jay) Yeah, Kix is gonna be in the series, the mini series. (Joe Don) We got him hooked up in it. I think Laura Bell Bundy's gonna be in it as well. (Jay) Laura Bell Bundy actually plays my wife in the series so, it's gonna be fun."
To Appomattox will also star Dwight Yoakam, Jonathan Schaech, Noah Wyle, Bill Paxton, Michael C. Hall and Paul Giamatti.
Rascal Flatts will appear on Good Morning America on Thursday (March 10th) to perform their latest single, "I Won't Let Go."
The trio's first major network concert special, called Nothing Like This Presented by JC Penney, airs on Saturday (March 12th) on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. It features special appearances by Justin Bieber and Natasha Beddingfield.
