MIRANDA LAMBERT REACTS TO CMA NOMINATIONS; WILL SQUARE OFF AGAINST HER FIANCE

Miranda Lambert leads the pack of nominess for the 44th annual CMA Awards, landing nine nominations -- more than any other artist this year. The former Nashville Star finalist is up for the award show's top prize: Entertainer of the Year, facing off against Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band.

She's also in the running for Album of the Year for Revolutions, and earned two nominations in the Single of the Year category, for "The House That Built Me" and "White Liar," both of which were also nominated for Music Video of the Year.

Miranda told us she was surprised by all of the nominations: "It's just hard to believe, because it's so many, and it's so many big ones. First of all I barely had time to process the fact that I had six, you know 'House' and 'White Liar' both got three a piece already before I even got to New York. I guess the most shocking was, obviously, Entertainer of the Year, because at first I didn't really feel like it was time for me to get nominated for something like that, it just doesn't seem like it was real at first, so I guess I coming to terms with it at this point, but I just can't believe it."

In an interesting twist, Miranda will be competing against her fiance, Blake Shelton, in three categoies: they were both nominated for Musical Event of the Year, as well as Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

The awards ceremony will air live from Nashville on November 10th on ABC.
