Although some reports about Demi Moore's current condition may be true, her friends are vehemently denying a story claiming that she's been "chasing after" 24-year-old Zac Efron.

Us Weekly reported that Demi recently attended a party in order to see Efron. A source told the magazine, "She just showed up, and everyone was pretty freaked out. They thought it was weird she would hang out with people half her age. She calls him and texts him a lot, but he's not interested at all. He thinks she's a creepy cougar."

However, an insider told GossipCop.com that the story is "completely untrue," and even an Efron source denied the story.

REPORT: DEMI WAS DESPERATE TO STAY YOUNG

People magazine reported that Demi's recent downward spiral was brought on by insecurity. A source told the publication, "As Demi got older, she convinced herself that she needed to stay young and skinny to remain attractive to her husband. She needed reassurance all the time that she was hot and sexy."

Another source said that Demi "was always fixated on being young. And the only thing that tied her to that, as she got older, was her marriage to a younger guy and hanging around young people."
