Hi! I'm Steve and I'm a seasonal allergy sufferer (perhaps you, too, are enrolled in the 12 Step Rhinitis Program).

I'm a Sioux Falls native, born April 9th (your birthday gifts are always welcome!). I'm a graduate of Washington High School and South Dakota State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I've worked in radio news and TV in such exotic locations as Rapid City and Brookings and I've been doing weekends and serving as the unofficial staff photographer at KIKN since 1997.

When it comes to music, I like almost everything. I grew up around country music, listening to the likes of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. David Allan Coe's "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" and it's own infamous last verse hooked me for life! If you look in my CD changer you might find Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, Jo Dee Messina, Montgomery Gentry, George Strait, Sugarland, Trick Pony, Chely Wright, The Wreckers, Don Henley or Bruce Springsteen. And has a better video ever been made than Faith Hill's "Breathe"?

Of course I'm a huge sports fan! Congratulations to the 2006-2007 CLARK CUP CHAMPION Sioux Falls Stampde!  Way to go, guys!  And to the SDSU women's basketball team for their run in the WNIT!  I've really gotten into NASCAR the last few years, I'm a huge fan of Minnesota Golden Gopher and Wild hockey and the Timberwolves, I've followed the Twins all my life, and despite the torture and therapy they put me through every year, I still bleed purple for the Minnesota Vikings!

In my spare time I like to hit the bike trail, workout, travel, go to concerts and surf the 'net (if I could just learn to log off BEFORE the crack of dawn!). Favorite food? Anything cooked on an outdoor grill, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, chips and homemade salsa, Old Chicago's "Chicago Seven" pizza and I make some pretty awesome chili if I say so myself!
